Flu warning as Buddies urged to get vaccinated

Buddies are being urged to get their flu vaccine as quickly as possible as medics warn flu has hit Renfrewshire a month earlier than usual.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is advising all eligible peopleespecially health and social care workersto obtain their winter vaccinations now to avoid being floored by symptoms or, in severe cases, becoming hospitalised.
The flu virus changes every year and analysis suggests the 2025 strain is both stronger and more infectious.
And health chiefs have warned cases are now rising rapidly in the area.
