Hundreds of artworks adorn the walls of Paisley’s former Alders Store as artists unite in support of Accord Hospice.
The art exhibition, the first to be held in the Art Department's renovated gallery in Paisley, showcases in excess of 500 works for sale, the proceeds of which will be used to support the palliative care charity.
An annual event, the 2025 exhibition runs until May 31 and includes a Featured Artist Programme for the first time.
A cohort of five established artists - Lil Brookes, Lilias Conroy, Ipshita D W Meyer, Jim McDade and Marion Gardyne - have each submitted 12 pieces of art to the exhibition across various mediums.
As part of his submissions, Jim McDade is showing a rediscovered film on Paisley, made in 1982 with David Munro, which won first prize in the Paisley 500 Video Competition in 1988.
Shot on Ferguson VHS video camera, the film has an original soundtrack and features wonderful views of Paisley architecture, old and new.
The film is a counter clash between brutalist, modern architecture and Paisley’s heritage - giving views of everyday life which will bring back memories of days gone by.
