Cooper hails character of her Saints as Adebo treble rescues a point

St Mirren Women had Praise Adebo to thank after they came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 with Edinburgh Caledonia.

A 10-minute hat-trick from Adebo, starting in the 79th minute, saw Kate Cooper's side fight back in their Barclays League One opener on Sunday.

And the Buddies head coach has saluted the character and determination of her players for not throwing in the towel - even after being three goals down.

Cooper says that showing the right attitude and desire not to give up made her proud.

"The start to the game was quite slow for us and I think we conceded poor goals just from communication and a little bit of indecision," she told Express Sport.

"We had a conversation at halftime and they know the standards that we're trying to set this year.
