Community projects in Ferguslie Park to benefit from funding

Community projects in Ferguslie look set to be boosted by a new fund after residents voted on where money should be allocated.
People in the area had their say on awarding £10,000 to 10 local community-led projects as part of this year’s Good Ideas Fund - a participatory budgeting programme delivered by the New Tannahill Centre.
The Good Ideas Fund is funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by the New Tannahill Centre. It aims to empower residents, build local capacity and place decision-making directly into the hands of the Ferguslie Park community.
A total of 386 votes were cast at a community ballot held on Monday, December 1, where local people selected the projects they felt would make the greatest difference in the community.
