Bank issues scam warning

Buddies are being warned to be vigilant following a surge in scams offering driving lessons and tests.

Several banks including Lloyds say scams in this area have increased by 92 per cent over the past six months - leading to an average loss of £244.

The deception begins with fraudsters posting misleading ads on social media platforms - primarily Facebook - claiming to offer discounted driving lessons.

The scammers are also falsely affiliating themselves with reputable driving schools.
