The Odia diaspora and Jagannath devotees around the world recently celebrated Rath Yatra with deep spiritual fervour and cultural zeal.
From the UK and USA to Japan, Australia, and France, the sacred chariot festival brought communities together in vibrant celebrations, reflecting a shared devotion and cultural unity.
United Kingdom: A grand celebration in Slough
The UK witnessed one of its largest Rath Yatra celebrations Saturday at Upton Court Park, Slough, organised by the Shree Jagannatha Society UK (SJ-SUK). Over 1,000 devotees gathered for the spiritual sojourn. The deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra were brought from Shri Ram Mandir, Southall, to the park, and onward to Slough Hindu Mandir, representing their traditional journey to their aunt's temple, Gundicha Mandir.
