Gen Chauhan denied Pakistan's claims of downing six Indian jets as 'absolutely incorrect,' he did confirm Indian aircraft losses, sparking renewed political questions
The Congress Saturday demanded a special session of Parliament and an independent review of India's defence preparedness after Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan acknowledged aircraft losses during India's military operation against Pakistan earlier this month.
Speaking at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore, Gen Chauhan said India had flown all its jets again for long-range strikes after understanding the tactical reasons behind earlier losses. While dismissing Pakistan’s claim of shooting down six Indian aircraft as “absolutely incorrect,” he made the first official admission of Indian losses in the four-day conflict.
