BJD terms BJP’s new NACs, municipalities a copy-paste model

Following the state government’s announcement Sunday on the formation of 16 new Notified Area Councils (NACs) and seven municipalities across Odisha, the Opposition BJD, once again hit out at the move, dubbing it a ‘copy-paste’ governance model.
The BJD, in a post on its official Facebook handle, criticised Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s announcement of new municipalities and NACs as part of the state’s urbanisation drive, While the CM projected it as a major step forward, the party alleged that the declarations lacked originality.
