17 investment proposals worth ₹3,878cr okayed

The state government Friday approved 17 investment proposals worth ₹3,878.86 crore which have the potential to generate 10,584 employment opportunities in 11 districts of the state, an official said.

The proposals were approved at the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLS-WCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja.
Six proposals were from the plastics sector. Greenwave Circularity Private Limited will set up a recycled flakes, pellets, and resin manufacturing facility with a capacity of 4,04,150 MT in Khurda at an investment of ₹650.23 crore. The facility is expected to generate 600 jobs.
Gurumaharaj Mining & Industries Private Limited's plan to invest ₹239.07 crore for manufacturing underground pipe-lines (UGPL) in Khurda also got approval. With an annual production capacity of 2,50,000 metres, the facility is expected to generate 860 jobs.
Supreme Industries Limited will establish a facility for plastic products in Cuttack with an investment of ₹175 crore, generating 165 jobs, while Lucro Plastecycle Private Limited will set up a post-consumer plastic recycled (PCR) granules and products unit in Jagatsinghpur district with an investment of ₹100 crore, generating 1,615 jobs, the official said.
