RELEGATION THREAT LEAVES CLUB VULNERABLE TO LOSING STAR PLAYERS

MARCH is not quite here but already the vultures are beginning to circle, such is the reality of Nottingham Forest's situation.

Clubs outside of the “big six” are always vulnerable to having their prized assets picked off. Even more so for those in the thick of a relegation battle.

The transfer links are already racking up as rivals eye the Reds’ star men. Elliot Anderson, Murillo, Ibrahim Sangare and Morgan Gibbs-White all have their admirers.

Teams are well aware, if the next few months do not go how Forest hope, there could be a fire sale at the City Ground. Even if Vitor Pereira does manage to steer the club to survival, some big names may well still depart.

Manchester United have become the latest side credited with an interest in Gibbs-White. They join Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa in keeping tabs on the Reds’ No.10.
