SNEINTON PUB'S CHRISTMAS DISPLAY IS BIGGER, BOLDER AND BETTER THAN EVER

PUB landlord Piers Baker has once again pulled out all the stops to make Christmas a spectacular affair at the Bath Inn.

The pub stands out like a beacon, in a blaze of gold on the corner of Handel Street, in Sneinton. The façade is adorned with 85 real pine trees, illuminated by 70,000 twinkling lights.

New this year is a big red bow, especially made by a fabricator, above the doorway with 86 metres of LED bulbs and an illuminated golden eagle perched on the roof.

Every window has festoon garlands lit up during the day and replaced after dark by the external lights.

"It's a real standout job. It’s bigger, better and bolder this year," said Piers, who turned the closed community pub into a drinking destination after a lengthy restoration.
