Reform UK takes control of entire district after delayed election victory

REFORM UK has taken control of an entire district on the county council after the results of a delayed election were confirmed.

The May 1 Nottinghamshire County Council elections had already seen Reform take charge of the authority, with Nigel Farage’s party winning a majority.

Two seats remained vacant given because voting in one division, Mansfield North, was postponed after the death of Trade Union and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) candidate Karen Seymour.

Mansfield North sends two councillors to County Hall and the postponed election on Thursday saw Reform winning both positions.

Gaynor Mann and David Smith's victories means the entirety of Mansfield is now represented by Reform at the county council level.
