Pipe's Neon Moon is set to shine again at Ascot
Nottingham Post
|November 21, 2025
NEON Moon can step up on a recent Ascot run to land the Join Ladbrokes Bet £5 Get £30 Handicap Chase back at that track.
David Pipe's charge made his seasonal return in a Grade Three contest at the Berkshire venue earlier this month when he ran well for a long way over three miles before dropping away at the finish to be beaten just over six lengths in fifth place.
That was the nine-year-old's first outing since May and, while he has won at the trip, he has also proved effective around the two-mile-five-furlong distance he faces here. Rated 136 at his peak last season, Neon Moon is now back down to a mark of 129 and can take full advantage on ground that should suit.
Lucky Place gets his career over fences under way in the Get Your Ladbrokes Free Ascot Bet 'Chasing Excellence' Beginners' Chase.
