MAN, 81, 'STIRRED UP EMOTION AND HATRED'
A PENSIONER rode his mobility scooter around Derby streets adorned with racist slogans about the attacks in Nottingham and Southport.
Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court heard how the labels attached to 81-year-old Robert Gloucester's vehicle said how white people had been "murdered in their own country by [racist word]".
Alongside the vile words were photographs of the three people who were stabbed to death on the streets of Nottingham by Valdo Calocane in June 2023 and three of the girls who died at the hands of teenager Axel Rudakubana during a mass stabbing at a Taylor Swiftthemed dance workshop on Mer-seyside in July 2024.
Sentencing Gloucester, District Judge Jonathan Taaffe said: "The events that are referred to in Nottingham and Southport were totally sickening events that rightly led to outrage up and down this country.
"The reality is that what you have done, I am sure, is of no comfort to the loved ones of the families involved.
