Old Raleigh factory could be replaced by new homes

FRESH plans have been revealed to transform a recently closed Raleigh factory into a new housing estate.
Homes by Honey, which bought the legendary bike manufacturer's former Eastwood assembly base at the end of last year, has applied to build 125 houses there.
The firm wants planning permission from Broxtowe Borough Council build the estate on Church Street.
The proposed development would include 113 open market homes and 12 affordable homes, according to a report to coincillors.
Raleigh obtained outline planning permission for 125 homes early this year, having applied for a similar development in 2019.
