TERRIFYING MOMENT - BUT TRAINING KICKED IN

- By JOSHUA HARTLEY

A NOTTINGHAM nurse sprang into action to save her daughter after a “terrifying moment” at the dinner table that could have killed her.

Rebecca Sams was settling down for an evening meal with her family at home when one of her children suddenly had a brush with death.

While helping her youngest child, she heard a strange noise from her middle daughter and immediately recognised she was choking.

Rebecca, a community learning disability nurse at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, quickly took control after remembering the live-saving guidance she had received from a colleague.
