ALMOST 50 more schools in the East Midlands will be getting Government money to set up free breakfast clubs from April.

Thirteen are in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire; 18 of them are in Derby and Derbyshire; two in Leicester and 14 in Lincolnshire.

The move will bring the total number to more than 140 schools in the region.

Schools already enrolled on the programme have served up to 700,000 meals in the East Midlands to date and saved families up to £450 per year, while giving them up to 95 hours of time back.
