WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS COMING TO UNIVERSITY
SURELY everyone has tried the tug of war in their life before, whether it was at a school sports day, or with a group of mates for a bit of fun, but many won't know that it is now an emerging international competitive sport, which has made its way to Nottingham.
I was invited by the University of Nottingham to attend a taster session of what athletes are set to experience in September, in the buildup to the International 2025 World Tug of War Championships.
I made my way onto the 5G pitch at the David Ross Sports Village to join students and staff who were facing off against the “experts” in tug of war.
