My dachshund is two years old. Is it true that he is more likely to suffer from a slipped disc? If so, what are the signs to look out for?

The discs are protective cushions between the bodies of vertebrae in the spine. Problems occur when a disc leaves its normal position and compresses the spinal cord. This is much more likely in dogs with long backs, such as dachshunds.
