Get rich quicker scheme

ONE thing that drives me nuts as a viewer (there are actually quite a lot of things, how long have you got..?) is when quiz show contestants insist on talking us through their thought processes.

I’m talking about people on shows such as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, from which this new thing is a spin-off, where they're given as long as they wish to answer each question, and seem to bask in such a luxury.

For example, if Jeremy asks them the capital of Spain, and they're given the options of Madrid, Paris, Berlin or Margate, they won't just go: “Madrid, final answer, obviously, durr. Next question?”

No, they'll want us to hear how they've got to that answer, laboriously explaining their process of elimination.
