'Fantastic' milestone for pub that was once Boots

A NOTTINGHAM pub is celebrating a big milestone this month - raising a glass to “many more" years in the city centre.

Housed in a Grade II-listed former Boots Pharmacy, the Embankment on Trent Bridge has thanked locals for their support after a decade in the city.
The building first opened in 1907 and in1915 became the Boots Social Club. A century later, in 2015, it was restored by the Beer Consortium.
