Drug addicted burglar is jailed for string of thefts

A PROLIFIC burglar is back behind bars.

Nottingham Crown Court heard how Alan Webster, 40, stole from five Nottingham city centre businesses including a restaurant, two pubs, a coffee shop and a beauty salon in the early hours.

His three-week trail of theft began on October 27 last year, when he kicked his way into the Barrel Drop in Hurts Yard, causing £400 damage, climbed into the pub and stole a bottle of port worth £15.

On November 2, he smashed a window at Eyebrow Gallery in Trinity Square and stole £50 from the till, caused more than £500 damage.
