Don't let the fear of failure hold you back

IT is a fresh kind of exam hell in the Cartwright house this year as GCSEs, A-Levels and end-of-year University exams have collided in the most beautiful way for my three children.

They all seem to be taking them in their stride though it is me who is the nervous wreck, hoping that they give them their best shot and praying that they don’t mess up and fail!

Looking back, I think I have always had a bit of a fear of failure. I remember being so nervous leading up to my driving test and then being so delighted when I passed it first time. I was not so chuffed though when I came last in the Haven Holiday site disco dancing competition aged eight!
