Domestic abuser jailed over attack on ex at her home

A “VIOLENT and manipulative” domestic abuser is in jail after strangling his ex and stabbing a man in an attack at her home.

Police say Tyler Ackerley, 26, of Worksop, subjected his former partner to a “catalogue of controlling and coercive behaviour” for five years before the attack on July 2.

Despite no longer being in a relationship with her, Ackerley showed up at the woman's Worksop house and flew into a jealous rage.

He picked up a knife in the kitchen and lunged towards the man she was with, stabbing him in the shoulder.

He then started strangling his ex, but fled when he heard police sirens.
