BUSINESSES near Nottingham Forest's City Ground say they hope the latest plans to get stadium capacity to 52,000 will bring fans in “by the coachload”.

- By OLIVER PRIDMORE

The club is set to officially submit its latest stadium expansion plans by the end of the year and, if approved, work could finally start next summer after years of talks.

Fans had their first chance to look at the plans - which entail a much bigger City Ground expansion than previously envisioned - at a public exhibition on Friday.

The new Peter Taylor Stand would be 58 metres tall and the overall capacity could end up being 52,500 - although the initial focus will be on getting capacity to 45,000.

Neighbouring businesses said it would be a huge boost for trade.
