Cafe has closed – but you can still buy its cakes

IT’S the end of the road for a well known cafe in Hockley - but its owners aren't going anywhere.

The Kitchen, in Pelham Street, shut yesterday after seven years of serving brunch, sandwiches and cakes.

But fans of the cakes will still be able to buy them at The Hockley Kitchen and Dispatch coffee shop nearby.

The closure of The Kitchen, in Pelham Street, which was Homemade Cafe for 13 years before changing hands in 2018, was announced on a social media post which said: "After a wonderful seven years of being open we have decided to close up.
