Black Sheep coffee shop aims to stand out from Clumber Street flock
Nottingham Post
|November 04, 2025
A TRENDY chain is planning to open on Nottingham's busiest shopping street.
-
Coffee chain Black Sheep has applied to fit out its first city coffeehouse in the former EE shop on Clumber Street.
The specialised cafe group, which uses robusta beans from sub-Saharan Africa instead of the more popular Arabica coffee from Ethiopia, is focused in London but also has branches in America, France and the United Arab Emirates.
It was granted permission in May by Nottingham City Council to change the layout of Grade II-listed 16 Clumber Street to create a café that would seat more than 100 customers.
Black Sheep has now submitted further plans for advertising on the front of the shop and to fit it out inside.
