Coastal Gem: New South Wales Legendary Pacific Drive
Mint Mumbai
|July 08, 2023
The Legendary Pacific Coast Drive from Brisbane to Sydney offers panoramic views of the Pacific, adventures by the sea, luxury stays, and culinary experiences like no other
-

It is just a 90-minute flight from Brisbane to Sydney, but this is a route one would rather do at the wheel of a car. The views, experiences and waypoints are unmatched and it is no wonder that this 900-odd-km road trip is called the Legendary Pacific Coast Drive.
Driving south puts you on the 'correct' side of the road to enjoy views of the deep blue Pacific. Just2.5 hours south of Brisbane is the relaxed town of Byron Bay with great luxury stay options, fantastic food and quiet beaches.
Take an invigorating walk to Cape Byron headland, the easternmost point on the Australian mainland and see the 22m lighthouse that was built in 1901. Byron Bay also boasts of activities such as kayaking and surfing.
Three hours or 210km south is Woolgoolga where the Punjabi community hosts the annual Curry fest. Scheduled for 23 September this year, it promises to be a carnival of colour, sights, sounds and taste, a celebration of food, culture and dance. It is a festival that embraces humanity, kindness, happiness and all the beautiful differences that make us all the same.
