In a significant Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at the Triveni Complex in Prayagraj on Wednesday, the Uttar Pradesh government approved 10 key proposals aimed at driving infrastructure development, industrial growth and employment opportunities in the state.
PRAYAGRAJ:
Among the notable decisions was the introduction of the Aerospace and Defence Unit and Employment Promotion Policy 2024, which seeks to attract Rs 50,000 crore in investments and generate employment for 1 lakh youth.
The Cabinet approved several ambitious infrastructure projects, including the construction of two new bridges over the Ganga River—one connecting Hetapatti to Salori and another in Arail. A six-lane bridge over the Ganga is already under construction and a four-lane bridge linking Prayagraj to Jhusi is in the pipeline. A signature bridge over the Yamuna River has also been approved.
