Opposition protests stall Parliament over Bihar voter list revision, Operation Sindoor

Both Houses of Parliament were adjourned on Tuesday amid persistent protests by opposition parties, who demanded a debate on the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar and Operation Sindoor.

In the Lok Sabha, repeated disruptions led to three adjournments before the House was finally adjourned for the day. Opposition members entered the Well of the House, holding placards and raising slogans. Their demand: a rollback of the SIR process initiated ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls.
