Young biker earns mayor's ire for viral stunt

An 18-year-old biker drew heavy backlash for performing a stunt that saw him nearly colliding with a truck on a highway in Barangay Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City.
In a bid to identify the biker, an irate Lapu-Lapu Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan posted the video of the incident on Facebook.
The incident happened on a busy street on Monday night, June 16.
After Chan posted the video on social media, the biker showed up at the mayor's office on Wednesday, June 18, where he profusely apologized.
In the video, the boy, who was with fellow bikers, was seen swerving to the opposite lane, driving so close to an oncoming truck before returning to his lane.
