Thai director apologizes for Miss Universe issues

In a gesture of respect, Nawat Itsaragrisil, Vice President of Miss Universe Asiana and President of Thailand as the Host Country, apologized to the candidates of the 2025 Miss Universe beauty pageant, which had been rocked by controversies in recent days.
The welcome ceremony for the 74th Miss Universe candidates in Thailand.
"I am human. Everybody knows the past few days have been a lot of pressure. But it's already past. I think you must understand that the pressure is a lot. Sometimes, I cannot control. But I have not intended to harm anyone," said Nawat during the welcome show for the 2025 Miss Universe Competition that was broadcast live on YouTube on Nov. 5.
Nawat continued, "I respect all of you. However, I am truly sorry that it happened. I want to offer this opportunity to apologize to the delegates if anyone was not comfortable with what happened. I'm sorry."
The Miss Universe official also addressed pageant fans worldwide, offering a heartfelt apology for the recent incident.

Rev up growth engine despite latest GDP growth decline
