President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has declared special nonworking days in three municipalities and one city in Catanduanes, Zamboanga del Sur, Rizal, and Quezon provinces this month.

Through Proclamation No. 983, Marcos declared Aug. 15 as a special nonworking day in the municipality of Viga in Catanduanes for the celebration of "Araw ng Viga."
"(I)t is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Viga be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration," Marcos stated in the proclamation dated July 24.
