Marcos extends period for hospitals to file PhilHealth claims to 120 days

Malacañang said President Marcos has ordered the extension of the filing period for hospital reimbursement claims to 120 days, a move aimed at easing delays in PhilHealth payments and helping health facilities recover denied claims.
Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro said the decision came after discussions with the Department of Health (DOH) and PhilHealth, following reports of over P1 billion worth of return-to-hospital (RTH) claims and other reimbursements that were not immediately paid.
