Hyun Bin talks about his first visit to Manila, career

"Captain Ri" held a meet and greet event with fans at Solaire Resort Entertainment City on Aug. 8.

Before the event, Hyun Bin met the media in a press conference at the Solaire Resort Grand Ballroom.

During the press conference, he talked about being the Solaire Resort ambassador, his first visit to the country, his upcoming drama, and his career.

Hyun Bin's career got a big boost when he starred with Son Ye-jin in the 2019-2020 Korean drama "Crash Landing on You," which currently holds the record as the fifth-highest rated cable TV drama in history in South Korea.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, fondly called the BinJin couple, got married in a lavish wedding in March 2022.

More than five years after the release of "Crash Landing on You," Hyun Bin will be starring in the Disney+ drama "Made in Korea," slated to premiere this year.

Hyun Bin said the Philippines was on his list of countries that he wanted to visit.

"The Philippines was always on my list to visit. And I did not have so much time yet to go around and kind of experience the Philippines. But, you know, the way they have welcomed me here in the Philippines is really, really heartwarming. It's more amazing than I expected," he said.

He added, "And also what I'm really surprised about, one thing that I'm really surprised about is the warm hospitality of how they welcomed me into the Philippines and of course the bright energy that I have witnessed."

After the press conference, Hyun Bin met Filipino fans at the meet & greet at Solaire.

"I already had an idea that there are Filipino fans. I have fans here in the Philippines who have been loving and supporting me so much. Finally meeting them, I am very, very excited and I'm looking forward to it and looking forward to what they will be doing together tonight," he said.

Many Filipino fans have supported Hyun Bin's career and projects.
