Filipina mompreneurs embrace digital skills to forge a new path in business

These motivational words were by Sara Blakely, the founder of the famous shapewear brand, Spanx. An advocate for innovation, Sara encourages everyone to embrace new opportunities, including technology.

Digital skills have become essential for all entrepreneurs, especially women and mompreneurs striving to balance work and motherhood. These skills unlock greater opportunities to build successful businesses.

With the Philippines' theme for this year's Women's Month, "Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas," the nation honors the 60 percent of registered MSMEs that are owned and led by women, recognizing their strength and resilience — qualities essential in navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship.

Madiskarte Moms PH (MMPH), an online community of mompreneurs, leverages technology to empower women in building thriving businesses through e-commerce, social media marketing, and innovative online services.

Supported by PLDT Home, MMPH's goal since its founding during the pandemic has been to "empower and educate moms and Filipina entrepreneurs by connecting them to a network of like-minded and driven mompreneurs." This mission has successfully paved the way for countless women to launch and scale their businesses, gain financial independence, and build a supportive community of fellow mompreneurs.
