|November 23, 2025
The late Juan Ponce Enrile, former defense minister, Senate President, and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel, was laid to rest at the Libingan ng Mga Bayani in Taguig City on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. joined Enrile's daughter and son, Katrina and Jack, and other family members during the interment ceremony in honor of his more than five-decade-long service in government.
The interment ceremony at the national shrine featured a funeral march and a ceremonial flower drop from a Philippine Air Force (PAF) helicopter, a traditional tribute for distinguished public servants.

Those who attended were given a final opportunity to pay their respects to Enrile's remains after the closing benediction.
