Baguio's purchase of 2 lots in Benguet overpriced - COA

The Commission on Audit (COA) has declared the P95.3-million purchase by the Baguio City government of two lots in Tuba town, Benguet province in 2023 as “overpriced.”
In its 2024 annual audit report, the COA said that the purchase of the two lots was intended for development and socialized housing programs.
However, the COA said a pricing issue arose as the city government did not negotiate for the reduction of the cost per square meter.
