Bacolod OKs P4.75-B budget for 2026

The city council has unanimously approved the ₱4.750-billion budget for 2026.
Councilor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, chairman of the Committee on Appropriations and Finance, said the budget was swiftly approved as there were few questions raised during deliberations.
Sayson said the largest allocation will go to the City Mayor's Office, the Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD), and the City Health Office (CHO).
He described the 2026 budget as responsive, noting that it covers nearly all sectors.
