Vue skipper believes club can defend title

BELLE VUE captain Brady Kurtz believes his side can defend the Premiership title.

The ATPI Aces secured their place in the playoffs with a comfortable 58-32 win over Birmingham at the National Speedway Stadium.

It had been a challenging week away from Manchester with heavy defeats at both Sheffield and Ipswich.

But Kurtz, who delivered a 12-point maximum, reckons his side have got what it takes when it comes to the crunch.

He said: “We've all seen that it's been a bad week, no question about that.

“I think it was important for all the boys to win some races and have a little bit of fun again.

“It's been a bit of a sad time for us. There was a smile back on everyone’s faces again in the pits. It was definitely a better atmosphere.
