UNITED head coach Ruben Amorim has admitted his team's lack of intensity is behind the notable dip in performances after halftime in recent weeks.

- By JACK FLINTHAM

The Reds were leading 1-0 at Tottenham before the international break but had to settle for a point after a disappointing second-half display.

This was repeated at Nottingham Forest where again United struggled in the second half compared to the first. Then again in the victory over Brighton, the Reds were almost punished when they were pegged back to 3-2 after cruising.

In an interview with the Premier League via the United website, Amorim was asked why there has been such a drop off from the first half going into the second recently. He replied: "I think we lose intensity.
