THERE” LL BE PLENTY OF FUN AND GAMES TO TIE IN WITH THE PARIS OLYMPICS
MANCHESTER Day returns to the city today along with a sporting theme to tie in with the start of the Olympic Games.
The day is expected to be filled with fun games, activities and performances.
The event boasts a whole host of free, family-friendly activities across many of Manchester's pedestrianised streets and squares.
Manchester Day was first started as an annual event and parade in 2010 to celebrate the city and its communities. But it has now morphed into a full day of family-friendly events that take over the city.
This year the theme of Manchester Day is 'Let the Games Begin' and that means families can expect plenty of sporting challenges as well as sports-themed puppets, performances and music.
