Historic building to become homes

A HISTORIC building which a councillor said was in a state of 'neglect' is being brought back to life as housing in a £23m development.

Pendleton House, on Broughton Road in Salford, was built in 1936 and has been used for a number of different purposes since then.

It was first opened as a public assistance office, before being turned into a coroner's court and later used as council offices and by the NHS.
