There is no doubt that Al’s ability to hoover up vast quantities of neuroscience-related information will lead to the development of novel, AI-facilitated, drugs for use in psychiatry.

But, before that happens, there is already the availability of AI-facilitated psychotherapeutic assistance. One might view this as a desirable “low-hanging fruit”, given the focus on mental health, the demand for mental health professionals and issues of limited access to such care. It is uncharted territory.
