Why City should take the injured hitman Haaland out of firing line
MEN on Sunday
|April 28, 2024
IT remains unclear whether Erling Haaland will travel with the City squad to the East Midlands for their Premier League match with Nottingham Forest today.
The 23-year-old missed City's 4-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday with an unspecified injury. Phil Foden netted a brace as Kevin De Bruyne and Julian Alvarez were also on the scoresheet on the south coast.
Pep Guardiola's side are now just one point behind leaders Arsenal, who stunned Chelsea with a 5-0 win earlier this week. Mikel Arteta's side will head to Tottenham for the north London derby today.
Haaland meanwhile, has been an injury concern for Guardiola. He missed City's FA Cup win over Chelsea and requested to come off during the Champions League quarterfinal defeat to Real Madrid last week.
