Pep reveals squad goals for success

PEP Guardiola could ring the changes for City's FA Cup third-round tie with Chelsea today, but he's told the players eager for more minutes in the squad that they need to earn them through performances on the pitch and their attitude in the dressing room.

The Blues face a rematch against Chelsea just four days after beating them 1-0 in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge, with Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez coming off the bench to combine for the winning goal.

City are in cup action twice this week, with a Carabao Cup quarter-final at Southampton to follow on Wednesday and there should be enough minutes to go around for Guardiola to give some of his fringe players a run-out.

He brought Kyle Walker, Joao Cancelo and Phil Foden back into the side in West London on Thursday, then made a double substitution at half-time and another on the hour mark.
