CLOSE rivals Llanelli and Llangennech are dominating proceedings in division two of the South Wales Cricket Association.

Llangennech are a point clear at the top after a six-wicket win at Briton Ferry Steel.

The home side were asked to bat first and were dismissed for 158, with Wakeel Shah taking 3-30.

Jamie Griffiths top-scored with 72.

Josh Cole (43 not out) and David Dunfee (41 not off just 17 deliveries) guided Llangennech home in the 37th over.

Llanelli enjoyed a crushing 147-run win at home against Felinfoel.

Elis Richards scored a fine 80 and skipper Benjamin Edwards 49 as Llanelli were all out for 260.

Jonathan Cheal took 4-43 for Foel.

Rasanga Gamage then dominated with the ball, taking 5-17 as the visitors slumped to 113 all out.

Drefach enjoyed a four-wicket win against Morriston.

Morriston had six batters in their 20s, including skipper Huw Knudson with 29 not out, as they were all out for 229 in 49.5 overs.

Iestyn Davies took 3-33, Rob Seymour 2-30 and Harry McBryde 2-42.
