Police hunting dad 'Baldy' after son was jailed over drugs conspiracy

A DAD wanted in connection with suspected drugs offences remained notably absent from Liverpool Crown Court as his son was jailed for his role in the vast conspiracy.

Jamie Seiga, 33, used the Encrochat handle DustCherry - which he shared with his dad James - to organise, buy and sell cocaine and heroin on a commercial scale.

Seiga Jr, of Garrowby Drive in Huyton, was referred to as “Casper” on the encrypted communications platform, while Seiga Sr was known as “Baldy” After the network was taken down in 2020, communications between DustCherry regarding the importation and onward supply of heroin, cocaine and cannabis were discovered.

Seiga Jr appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, November 7, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs (cocaine and heroin).

Prosecutor Geoff Whelan said: “The defendant accepts that he was apart of a class A conspiracy involving both cocaine and heroin.

“However, as regards his role... he was subservient to his father who he accepts played a leading role in the conspiracy.

“The defendant is aware that the investigating authorities want his father to return to the jurisdiction so he can be prosecuted for his apparent involvement in this criminal activity.
