MAGNUM DISCOVERY LEADS TO DRUGS HAUL
A MAN whose DNA was found on a gun stashed in wasteland has been sentenced to eight years behind bars.
Officers searching the area near Domingo Drive in Kirkby on Thursday, July 18, discovered a Smith & Wesson Magnum calibre revolver along with ammunition.
Following forensic analysis, the DNA of James Donoghue, 35, was identified on the weapon.
Donoghue (inset), of Wentworth Drive, Everton, was arrested on May 7. Subsequent searches of his home uncovered heroin and cocaine, leading to additional charges.
