SINGER PUTS ON CAPTIVATING SHOW IN FRONT OF KING KENNY AT ANFIELD

- REVIEW BY MARIA BRESLIN

Lana gets royal seal of approval

ANA Del Rey met up with Sir Kenny Dalglish after her show at a packed Anfield. Just two songs into her set the US songstress announced the legendary Liverpool manager was “in the building” to see her perform for the first time at the home of her beloved LFC.

Lana famously posed in the players’ tunnel beneath the ‘This is Anfield’ sign back in 2013 having been introduced to the team by her manager and was pictured wearing a Reds’ scarf with another legend Steven Gerrard.

And in 2020 she recorded an acapella rendition of LFC anthem 'You'll Never Walk Alone’ for a documentary about the club.

Hopes the singer would repeat the performance for fans last night failed to materialise as she stayed true to a set list already tried and tested in Cardiff and Glasgow.

But that didn’t make the evening any less spine-tingling or her unique voice less magical.
